The Makers

These are the makers behind the instruments in my collection. I have done extensive archival research to uncover the background and legacy of each workshop. While some of these manufacturers are world-renowned and have their historical records beautifully documented, others remain deeply obscure. Throughout the 19th and 20th centuries, brass manufacturing was a highly dynamic industry; companies frequently changed ownership, merged, or rebranded, resulting in complex name changes and historical gaps that often cloud their timelines. As a result, tracking these lineages can be a significant challenge, and the histories presented here may contain unavoidable inaccuracies or gaps where the historic record remains incomplete.
