A. Lecomte & Cie

Arsène-Zoë Lecomte (1818-1892) started working at the Gautrot factory as "chef des ventes". He started his own workshop in 1859, at first making models by Sax under license. In 1862 the factory had 100 employees. The production was mainly aimed at export.
Lecomte fell ill in 1888 and was forced to take rest. He merged with Casserini and Massin & Thibouville. In 1892 he died, after taking Jacques Ullmann as successor.
