Egid Glassl

The firm of Egid Glassl represents a highly respected, regional specialist within the historic Bohemian brasswind tradition. Glassl officially established his independent manufacturing workshop for brass wind instruments in 1899. The facility was located in the industrial town of Komotau, Bohemia—which later became part of the Czechoslovak Republic and is known today as Chomutov. Under his direct guidance, the workshop maintained a steady production line of quality instruments, remaining actively in business and documented until at least 1930.
