This is a Bb flugelhorn by Josef Lidl, Brno. Difficult to say when it was made, but probably before 1948 when Lidl joined the Amati-group.
It is not a particulary interesting instrument in itself, but it was fun to see if I could get it in working order again, after it had been an ornamental piece for years. I was actually surprised at the state it was in, not too bad. Just the tuning slides were stuck, but with slight tapping they came out. The valves work fine after a rinse, but the 3rd is a little weak. The instrument plays quite good now.
