This system allows the performer to seamlessly configure the horn for either Small, Medium, or Large mouthpiece shanks depending on their acoustic preference.

This specific euphonium holds a deeply personal significance in my musical journey; I purchased it second-hand in 2003 specifically to serve as my primary instrument when I joined the prestigious military band of the Royal Dutch Marechaussee (Koninklijke Marechaussee). Even after decades of professional service, the horn remains in absolute excellent playing condition, delivering the rich, focused resonance for which Hirsbrunner is celebrated.
