Gerhard Schneider "Meister Model"

About the maker:

This is a Gerhard Schneider Master Model F/B♭ Double French Horn, manufactured in East Germany during the late 1960s or early 1970s and officially sponsored and distributed by Boosey & Hawkes.

Structurally, this instrument is a highly accurate copy of the legendary pre-war Gebr. Alexander Model 103 design. This historical lineage is precisely why I wanted this specific horn; because an authentic vintage Alexander 103 commands astronomical prices on the market, this Master Model provides the closest possible playing experience to that legendary archetype at roughly a tenth of the cost.

Beyond its value as a collector's piece, this exceptional instrument has proven its worth in practice and currently serves as my daily go-to horn for weekly playing.
