This instrument is a Mahillon B♭ trumpet manufactured in 1924, and is highly likely the Model 326 as advertised in the company's catalogues from that era. Up until the mid-20th century, Belgian instrument makers frequently developed unique trumpet designs that distinctively deviated from the "standard" international models. It is exactly this non-standard, historically rich configuration that makes this specimen so captivating. Lovingly preserved, the trumpet remains in good, fully playable condition today.
