C. Mahillon "679" (1948)

This is a model 679 valve trombone in B♭, manufactured by the Belgian firm C. Mahillon and dating to 1948. Beyond its historical significance as a classic post-war European instrument, this piece holds a deeply sentimental place in my life. For as long as I can remember, this very trombone was a permanent fixture in my childhood home, hanging on the wall right above my parents' piano. After spending decades untouched on display, it remains in fully functional, playable condition today—bridging a wonderful connection between family history and my passion for brass collecting.
