C. Mahillon (1927)

This is a historic 'Saxhorn Basse' in B♭, manufactured by the celebrated Belgian firm C. Mahillon in 1927, adopting the exact taxonomic classification used by the renowned Musical Instrument Museum (MIM) in Brussels. Representing a classic era of low-brass design in the Low Countries, this instrument has been exceptionally well preserved over the decades. It remains in good, solid playable condition, offering a wonderful acoustic link to the traditional Belgian orchestral and military band soundscapes of the early 20th century.
