Couesnon (1926)

This is a Couesnon Cornet, made in 1926. As the cornet that started my collection of vintage brass was a Couesnon, this brand has my special interest and I have several in my collection. This looks like a Série SO No. 1 model, the most basic student model. It is in very good playable condition, apart from a little bit sluggish 3rd valve.

As I came across a better looking, older Couesnon, I had to make room in my collection. This one was sold, as it is rather plain looking and not necessarily special.
