Conn (1921)
This is an F-Horn manufactured by the C.G. Conn company in 1921. Bearing the serial number 188868, its exact classification presents a fascinating puzzle, as none of the documented Conn model specifications from this era provide an exact match. Based on its layout, it could potentially be a very early iteration of the 4D or 5D 'Wonder' model.
Time has left its mark on this centenarian instrument; it currently suffers from several air leaks, numerous dents, and poor valve compression. Consequently, the horn is not in a truly playable condition, but it remains a highly intriguing historical artifact from a pivotal era in American brass manufacturing.
