Couesnon Monopole

This is a Couesnon Monopole Flugelhorn, serial number 15883. The Monopole instruments were often not dated like the regular Couesnon instruments with the year in the grenade, but based on known serial numbers and the text of the inscription, my guesstimate is 1910-1915.

Unfortunately, the mouthpipe it came with was not original and did not fit (the one in the pictures came from one of my other Couesnon Flugelhorns) and the 1st valve slide had a loose soldering and some other damage. Apart from that, it plays well.
