This elegant Alto Horn was crafted by the historic Parisian workshop of Antoine Courtois and features a nickel silver finish. While factory ledger archives from this era are limited, the specific street address and medals inscribed on the bell provide great clues, narrowing its manufacturing date to sometime between 1927 and 1930.
When it first arrived, the horn suffered from a leak in the leadpipe. By sealing the crack with a simple layer of tape, the airtightness was successfully restored. Thanks to this quick fix, this beautifully crafted piece of French brass history is fully playable once again.
